I wonder if you could please tell me if there is any plant or fruit I could use to re-dye a black boiled wool coat which has faded in parts. I find only my black clothes fade and wondered if you might please be so kind as to tell me if I can use any plant that would make the faded parts the beautiful black they were since I really like the coat but have worn it for years and somehow bits of the black of it have faded to almost a light brown. Any advice would be greatly appreciated
Hi Fiona,
There are several ways of achieving black from plant dyes, some more complicated than others and all of which gives slightly different variations on black. If you’d like to email us with a photo of your coat, we’ll be happy to make some recommendations.
